Great News from Arbor Springs!!!

Eight Coweta County Schools have been recognized for high achievement in the 2010-11 school year, by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement.

The schools were recognized Tuesday under Georgia's Single Statewide Accountability System, which awards schools based on their performance on state curriculum exams and their Adequate Yearly Progress status. Under SSAS, the Governor's Office of Student Achievement awards schools that show excellence in student achievement and progress in student achievement.

We are proud to announce that Arbor Springs Elementary was given the Bronze award for High Performance for showing 20 percent or more students exceeding CRCT standards, and 95 percent or more of students meeting or exceeding CRCT standards overall.

We are proud of our students' accomplishments, proud of our excellent professional staff, and grateful for the continued support of parents and families as we work hard to increase student achievement here every day. Let's keep up the good work!!

Arbor Springs Elementary School
New AP for 2011/2012
Presenting Dr. Stephanie Golden!

Please join us in welcoming her to our school!
stephaniegolden

I am an educator, mentor, and advocate for children. I believe that all children can succeed if provided the right amount of nurturing and guidance needed to advance in their education.

I am originally from Columbus, Georgia where I taught with the Muscogee County School District as a 3rd grade teacher; however I have lived in the Fairburn area for several years now. I've worked in Coweta County as a 3rd grade teacher, as well as, an Instructional Coach at Eastside Elementary School. Home of the Bobcats!

I attended Georgia Southern University where I received a Bachelor's degree with a major in Child and Family Development. Then, I graduated from Troy State University with a Master's Degree majoring in Elementary Education. I received a Specialist degree from Argosy University with a major in Instructional Leadership. Recently, I defended my dissertation and will be awarded a Doctorate degree with a major in Instructional Leadership! This has been a long process, but I am so happy that it has come to an end. I absolutely LOVE my career in education. Not only do I educate elementary students, but I have been privileged to educate at the collegial level. Teaching college students is a wonderful experience.

Some of the activities and hobbies that I enjoy are traveling, shopping, and being with my family. I enjoy creating unique diaper cakes and flower arrangements also.
