Welcome to Arnco-Sargent Elementary School, home of the Cougar Cubs. On behalf of the Arnco-Sargent Staff we extend a warm welcome to all children and families returning and joining us for the 2011-2012 school year. This year promises to be an exciting one filled with continuous learning opportunities for your child.

We are happy and excited to report that Arnco-Sargent has made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)! This is the eigth year in a row that Arnco-Sargent has met AYP. This achievement was made possible through the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, parents, and community.

As Principal, I am dedicated to serving the students, staff, parents, and community. At Arnco-Sargent we are committed to ensuring the success of every student. Our goal is to promote continuous educational improvement that will enable students to become confident, self-directed lifelong learners. Arnco-Sargent Elementary is a community school. We strive to create a welcoming environment within our school to encourage families to become involved in our students learning as well as extra-curricular activities.

In closing, I want to encourage you to spend time and get involved in your child’s life and learning! Set aside time each night to talk to your child about their day, review homework, and read aloud with them and to them. It will not only boost academic achievement, but will also enhance self esteem. It will definitely be time well spent.
