Leigh Munson is the principal of Eastside. She has worked in the Coweta County School System since 1988, when she began teaching second grade. She is married to Stanley Munson, and they have one daughter, Lindsay. As a family, they love to go camping and fishing. They often take their canoe with them wherever they travel. If you visit her office, you can see pictures of everyone in her family, including their cat, Tootsie!
As a third generation educator, she has seen many changes in schools and the curriculum. Through the years, however, one thing has remained the same: students are eager to learn new concepts. In our wonderful community of Eastside, we have an endless love of children. We set high expectations for our students, as we are constantly reminded that they will one day be the leaders of our world.
