2012-2013 CCMS Academic Bowl Champions
The Lee Middle School Timberwolves won the Coweta County Middle School Academic Bowl Championship on March 4. The annual event was hosted by Smokey Road Middle School. This year’s meet was the closest in the history of the league as Lee edged out defending champion Madras Eagles by the score of 910 to 890. The Arnall Knights took home the third place trophy with a score of 860 while the East Coweta Indians placed fourth with 810 points. The Evans Cougars placed fifth and the Smokey Road Wildcats took the sixth spot at the meet.
The Timberwolves, coached by Suzanne Brooks and Lisa Redmon, were comprised of members Julie Lenderman, Bo Heatherman, Cameron Bogan, Spencer Thomas, Luke Turner, Connor Bogolin, Jaden Stutzman, Jack Heatherman and Will Barronton.

The Timberwolves (610 average score) also placed third out of 15 middle schools in the overall West Georgia RESA District Competition behind Arnall (680) and Madras (657). The Wolves won two of the four RESA meets this year.
The teams in the West Georgia RESA district include: East Coweta, Arnall, Smokey Rd., Madras, Carrollton Jr. High, Callaway, ECMS, Evans, Gardner, Newman, Greenville, Harris, Carver ,Heard, Long Cane, Manchester, Odyssey, and West Side Magnet.
