SENIORS are reminded that MANDATORY graduation practice is on Wednesday, May 23rd. Seniors should report to the Johnny Brown gym at 8:30 a.m. The senior picnic will follow graduation practice, so casual dress is appropriate. The graduation ceremony is on THURSDAY, MAY 24th at 7:30 p.m. at Henry Seldon Field on Northgate’s campus. Seniors should report to the Johnny Brown gym BY 5:30 P.M. with cap & gown.

 

All upcoming AP Language (11th) and AP Literature (12th) students, please turn in $9.00 for Wordly Wise by Friday, May 25th.  Also, remember to pick up summer work!

SGA will meet in room 822 at 8am this Tuesday AND Thursday.  All students interested in becoming a part of Northgate’s Student Government Association should attend to elect officers for next year and make plans for Homecoming!

 

Writing Club!

Final meeting of the school year today, May 21st, in Room 130 at 3:35pm.

All are welcome to attend!

 

There are still yearbooks available to purchase in room 215.  The price is $100 cash.

 

All students with over the counter medication should have medications picked up as soon as possible. The last day of school is the last day for pick up or it will be destroyed as the nurse can’t keep it over the summer.  If parents want students to take medications home with them, a letter from the parent is required. If there are Rx medications in the nurse’s office that are no longer is being used, they must be picked up now. Routine medications that are taken every day must be picked up on the last day of school. Thank you, Nurse Linda

 

History Club!

Final meeting of the year immediately after school tomorrow (5/22) in Room 502.

 

STUDENTS:  If you have not completed your registration for next year…Please come to the FRONT OFFICE.

 

Student schedules will be available sometime this summer on the Parent Portal when they are complete.

 

Seniors!! Exit sheets must be signed by all teachers, media center and parents before being returned.  These are due back to the Career Center by TOMORROW, May 22nd at which time the student will receive their graduation rain tickets and their immunization records.  Many Seniors still owe books, fines & other fees.

These must be taken care of prior to May 22nd! (THAT’S TOMORROW!!)

 

If you are taking AP Chemistry next year, please stop by room 409 to pick up a packet of summer work from Ms. Pugh.

 

JUNIORS, come by Mrs. Jackson’s room (123) to purchase your end-of-year senior shirt.  Shirts are $10 and will be worn the last day of school.  See Mrs. Jackson, Hannah Aldredge or Hunter Hasty for more information.

Graduation DVD’s are available for pre-order:  $15 until May 22nd (Again, THAT’S TOMORROW!) and for $20 the day of Graduation and after.  Parents can order online or print & mail their order. www.hovervideoproductions.com

 

If you are interested in purchasing a Senior Ad for the 2012 Northgate Football Program, you may pick up a form in the front office or you may contact Sarah Frazier for an electronic copy.  The price for a ¼ page Senior ad is $60.  All money, paperwork and artwork are due to Coach Frazier by May 23rd.  If you have questions, you may contact Coach Frazier at sarah.frazier@cowetaschools.net

 

Coweta County Summer School information is now available.  All applications, which are available in the career center, require signatures from your counselor & administrator.  Please note that registration forms & payment must be submitted in person at CEC either Wednesday, May 30th or Thursday May 31st from 9am – 6pm. Classes will be held from June 5th – June 29th

There will be a meeting for boys planning on playing Lacrosse next year.  The meeting will be at 8am Wednesday (5/23) in room 503.

SOFTBALL CAMP:  May 29 – June 1 from 8:30am – 12 noon.  Cost is $100 per person.

Northgate Vikings Basketball Camp:  May 29 – June 1

Soccer Camp, June 11-15:

9am – 10:30am for ages 4-8; 9am – 12pm for ages 4-13; 6pm – 8:30pm for ages 11-14 (middle school & 9th grade only).  The cost is $35 for ages 4-7 and $75 for ages 8-14.
