Mrs. Liz Lotter

Mrs. Liz Lotter has been teaching dance for ten years at New Jersey City University and at the Network Community School of the Arts. She was selected this year for the Spanish teacher position at Newnan High School.

Lotter attended the Jersey City State College, now called New Jersey City University, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree. Being a native born Cuban, Lotter grew up speaking Spanish. "I felt that I could better utilize my interpersonal skills and love of the Spanish language and culture in an academic environment. Teaching provides me with the opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of the students I teach," said Lotter of why she wanted to teach.

Mrs. Lotter's first impression of Newnan High was that, "I was very impressed at the enormity of the campus. Most importantly, I was impressed at the kindness and support the NHS staff provided."

Lotter currently teaches dance at Sharpsburg Dance Academy. She loves to dance as much as she loves her Spanish background. She is teaching her three children, ages two, four, and seven, to also speak Spanish.

Let's wish Mrs. Lotter the best of luck at Newnan High this year and in all her dance and Spanish adventures!
