Color Guard: Try outs for next year’s team is all next week (4/30 – 5/4) from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the band room. This is a mandatory clinic in which you will learn a routine. Please wear athletic or dance-type clothing and be prepared to have fun!
FCCLA: Meeting today, 4/25, at 3:30 p.m. in room 110.
History Dept: On Saturday, 5/12, the History Dept. will host the 4th Annual Run for Veterans here at NHS. Please register and get a cool shirt and help those who protect us. For forms and information see Coach Henderson or Mr. Quesinberry on the 200 hall.
PROM: April 28, Fox Theatre, Atlanta, 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Juniors and seniors who have paid to go to the Prom may pick up their invitation in the lobby today, 4-25 during lunch.
PROM KING/QUEEN VOTE: Seniors may cast their vote electronically via a link in their school email. Voting closes tomorrow, 4/26 at 4:00 p.m.
Say Yes to the Dress: If you are still looking for something special to wear this weekend for the Prom drop by the CIS office! They have some beautiful dresses available for FREE!
ROTC: Military Ball has been postponed until Saturday, 5/19, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Armory. All cadets who have paid activity fee – even first semester – should see MSgt Turner to pick up their ticket.
All students who have a cafeteria balance or who do not have payment for a meal will receive an alternate meal. All outstanding fees, fines, and cafeteria balances must be paid in full in order to receive your Prom invitation.
ATHLETICS: You must have completed Sports Physical paperwork to participate in any sport including tryouts prior to the season!
Softball Tryouts: Tryouts will be May 7 – 10 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. See Coaches Gilmore, Johns, or Griner if you have any questions.

Volleyball Tryouts: May 14 – 17, 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. in the New Gym
Anyone who wants to tryout should get an information packet from Coach Janet Brown in room 305. All paperwork must be turned in by May 8th!
Dual Enrollment: Students who are interested in Dual Enrollment opportunities for Summer and Fall 2018 must complete the following steps before they leave for summer in order for their schedule to be updated and their funding application to be approved. 1) Apply to the college. 2) Send transcript and test scores to the college. 3) Turn in the participation agreement to the 100 office. 4) Complete the funding application on www.gafutures.org. More information can be found on the Dual Enrollment page of the NHS Counseling Website. Assistance can also be provided in the 100 office.

Puckett’s Wall of Fame: Seniors who have been accepted to college, military, or have employment plans after graduation may stop by Dr. Puckett’s office to sign his Wall of Fame. We are proud of you!
Lobby Pictures: Seniors who have been accepted to college, committed to the military, or entering the work force after graduation need to stop by the Main Media Center before/after school, or during lunch to have your photo taken for the Main Lobby Wall.
Senior Scholarships: If you are receiving a scholarship from your college or outside of Newnan High School, please stop by the counseling office to get a form to fill out with that information. We will announce it at Honors Night and put it in the Newnan Times Herald.
Senior Yard Signs: THE FIRST ORDER HAS ARRIVED! If you ordered a yard sign you may pick it up from the Principal’s Office at the END of 4th block OR at the end of the last block that you are here on campus. If you still want to order a graduation yard sign, the price has increased to $30. Applications are still available outside of room 301, 106, and in the Principal’s Office. The deadline is Friday, 4/27. Get yours now!
