Dear Western Families,
It is a pleasure to welcome all of our returning students and our new students to the 2012-2013 school year at Western Elementary School! I hope your summer has been filled with family, friends and fun. In preparation for the beginning of school, the teachers and staff are eagerly awaiting your return. We are excited and look forward to sharing many academic experiences with you.
Parental involvement is a key factor to ensure your child’s success in school. Parents are strongly encouraged to remain involved and support the educational program. I hope you plan to visit and volunteer at Western. Our goal in working together is to maintain an effective learning environment. I encourage you to help us continue the rich tradition of excellence that began over 100 years ago. I am truly honored to serve as your principal. I look forward to seeing you at school!
Important Reminders:
School begins at 7:50. Car riders may be dropped off at 7:30am.
In an effort to protect your child’s instructional time, we do not interrupt the teacher during school hours. We will be glad to take a message, and the teacher will return your call.
Please be certain your child has a note if he/she will need to change the mode of transportation.
Please read the school handbook closely for school rules and procedures.
